FG reduces Jamb, NECO and Bece exam fee - check new prices

The Federal Government (FG) has finally agreed to reduce the price of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME),  National Examination Council (NECO) and also the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

  Even with the resistance of Jamb registrar not to reduce their fees, the examination boards price reduction approval was granted at the meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) presided over by the Vice President of Nigeria Professor Yemi Osinbajo at the State House Villa, Abuja.

In the meeting the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu  made known that from January 2019,  students who are sitting for the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) will pay N3,500 instead  N5,000, those sitting for the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) being conducted by NECO will pay N9,850 instead of N11,350, the Minister of Education Adamu Adamu also said those sitting for the  Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE)  will now pay N4,000 instead of N5,500.
